Sony Corporation (ソニー株式会社, Sonī Kabushiki-gaisha?)
is a Japanese multinational corporation and one of the world's largest media conglomerates with revenue of $68.39 billion (as of 2006) based in Minato, Tokyo. Sony is one of the leading manufacturers of electronics, video, communications, video games and information technology products for the consumer and professional markets.


Onkyo Corporation (オンキヨー株式会社, Onkyō Kabushiki-gaisha?)
Traditional Chinese: 安橋; Pinyin: An Qiao; Cantonese: Ngon Kiu) (JASDAQ: 6729) is a Japanese consumer electronics manufacturer, specializing in home cinema and audio equipment including receivers, audio networking equipment and surround sound speakers.


The Yamaha Corporation (ヤマハ株式会社, Yamaha Kabushiki Gaisha?) (TYO: 7951 )
is a Japanese company with a wide range of products and services, predominantly musical instruments and electronic products. The company's origins as a musical instrument manufacturer is still reflected today in the group's logo — a trio of interlocking tuning forks. Yamaha Corporation is also widely known for their music program during the mid 1980s, and was compared to Shin'ichi Suzuki's method in a sense.


The Bose Corporation
is a privately held American company based in Framingham, Massachusetts that specializes in high end audio equipment and reinvests 100 percent of its profits back into the company. Bose products can be found in Olympics stadiums, Broadway theaters, the Sistine Chapel and the Space Shuttle. Bose is widely regarded as a producer of high-end audio systems. A market study published in March 2006 by the independent market research firm Forrester Research reported that Bose's brand name was among the 3 most trusted brand names (by the US population) of consumer-electronics or computer brand names in America.


Bang & Olufsen (B&O)
is a Danish company that designs and manufactures high end audio products, television sets, and telephones. Products from B&O are intended to reflect cutting edge industrial design, in appearance, function and operation. Bang & Olufsen does not employ any designers, preferring that they should be independent of the company. In fact, the company encourages the meeting of opposing viewpoints, with the goal of synthesis between design intentions and technological capabilities.


Bowers & Wilkins
is a high-end British loudspeaker company that produces reference quality hi-fi and home theatre speakers. The company name is often abbreviated to just B&W. The company was founded by John Bowers in 1966. B&W speakers are renowned for their attention to detail, fit and finish and the use of real wood veneers. A distinguishing feature of the B&W speaker cones is that they are made from DuPont Kevlar composite which provides controlled rigidity and internal damping, minimizing distortion.


JBL
is an American audio electronics company owned by Harman International that was founded in 1946 by James Bullough Lansing. Their primary products are loudspeakers and associated electronics. There are two independent divisions within the company — JBL Consumer and JBL Professional. The former produces audio equipment for the home market while the latter produces professional equipment for the studio, installed sound, tour sound, portable sound, and cinema markets. While Harman International does not break out the sales figures of their individual brands, it is believed that JBL is one of the largest selling loudspeaker brands in the world.


Pioneer Corporation (パイオニア株式会社, Paio'nia Kabushiki-gaisha?) (TYO: 6773 )
is a Japanese multinational corporation that specializes in digital entertainment products, based in Tokyo, Japan. The company was founded in 1938 in Tokyo as a radio and speaker repair shop. Today, Pioneer is well-known for technology advancements in the consumer electronics industry.


Sharp Corporation (シャープ株式会社, Shāpu Kabushiki-gaisha?) (TYO: 6753 )
is a Japanese electronics manufacturer, founded in 1912. It takes its name from one of its founder's first inventions, the Ever-Sharp mechanical pencil, which was invented by Tokuji Hayakawa(早川 徳次) in 1915 [1]. As a semiconductor maker, Sharp is among the Worldwide Top 20 Semiconductor Sales Leaders and among the Top 100 R&D Spenders in a list published by the IEEE Spectrum magazine.


Jamo
Klipsch Audio Technologies is one of the most successful consumer and professional speaker companies in America. Founded in Hope, Arkansas in 1946 by Paul Klipsch as Klipsch and Associates, it produces loudspeaker drivers and enclosures, as well as complete loudspeakers for high end, high fidelity sound systems, public address applications, and personal computers.
