This post on Hacker News mentioned Mojang doesn't actually own the Minecraft IP, but rather licenses it from Notch who owns it exclusively. The company itself makes less than he does.

Was just about to make this comment.

Mojang is owned by (Notch Development) who get license fees from Mojang.

So as far as I can see, they won't get the Minecraft IP

晕，刚在GAF看到Minecraft的版权还不是Mojang的，版权属于Notch本人的，如果这样的话，微软做这笔生意究竟是几个意思？

希望微软能把MC重写为mfc应用

其实微软在洗黑钱。

mojang卖了那么多份mc，应该有不少钱。但20亿刀买这个，你说微软是图啥？让mc的ps3,ps4版下架？话说下一个游戏还没影呢？

看不懂之一，20亿可以开发最少20部3a独占大作，并从此将成为最具有影响力的IP系列，要知道，老滚5开发费用不到4000万，恶魔附体2000万刀。
