Uncharted 3 Ships 3.8 Million Copies Day One

Sony has confirmed that 3.8 million copies of Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception were shipped on day one. The figure comes via a press release out of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, and Sony has confirmed to IGN that the figure is for units shipped and not sold.





Why would Sony confirm this to IGN when other websites asked for this information earlier and haven't gotten an answer yet? I would just wait (Although it is likely to be shipped rather than sold)
