The President of Nintendo of America, Reggie Fils-Aime, announced that Nintendo is exploring the possibility of adding GoldenEye 007 to the Virtual Console, despite a complicated situation in which the game's developer Rare is owned by Microsoft (producers of the rival Xbox 360 console) and the video game rights to the James Bond franchise are held by Activision. He stated, "We would love to see it [on the Virtual Console], so we're exploring all the rights issues."[44]

On January 7, 2008, Xbox Evolved confirmed the existence of GoldenEye 007 on Xbox Live Arcade.[45] On January 11, 2008, 1UP.com reported that a GoldenEye port (as opposed to a remake) had been in development at Rare for several months, but stated that the title would not be released on the Xbox Live Arcade since "Microsoft and Nintendo couldn't agree on the financial side of things."

明日帝国的版权确实是ea拿到的，但是却能从里面看出点端倪出来。
首先电影是07年年底推出的，而ea在ps上开发的同名作却是09年底。耗时两年，本作销量也达到了3百万。
但09年底上映的黑日危机，ea在10年底就在n64上推出了同名作品。只用了一年的时间。但销量已经降到了1.5百万。
