乐高的拼砌和GunPla的拼砌是两个概念
乐高虽然大多也是按主题套装卖的，但其包含了无限延展性，也就是高端玩家的玩法，自由拼装，创造。玩家只需要把精力放在创意与积木的运用上，重创意。
而GunPla的拼砌基本上一套产品只有一个结果，为了这一个结果，还需要动用打磨、喷涂等轻创意重耐性的操作，这是欧美玩家最不喜欢的。
欧美人性格比较随意，有创意但缺乏耐心；亚洲人有时候思想保守，但是耐心细致。放眼全球，精细手工操作都是亚洲比较强，欧美主要是设计层面的。比如说，变形金刚近20年来的作品故事背景设定及人物设计都是孩之宝主导，但角色落实到具体的玩具变形与结构设计都是TakaraTomy承担的，因为美方的设计师很难承担这些工作。

欧美有动手能力的玩家都是成年人，有些甚至是中老年人，玩的也都是要求脑力劳作的TRPG，与GunPla没有交集。
欧美青少年玩的都是即玩玩具，拆开包装就可以玩的。

你别说，现在GunPla在北美有点回温了
前两天的消息，北美代理商今年要加大GunPla销售，因为去年的小批量销售呈现出上升势态了

Beginning in April 2014, over 400 Barnes and Noble retail locations across the U.S. will begin selling a variety of Gundam Plastic Models, also known as "GunPla," of different scales and grades from numerous Gundam series like Gundam Wing, Gundam UC, Gundam Build Fighters and more. The Gundam franchise, which is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year has been known for its famous line of snap together models that require no glue for assembly and minimal to zero paint application. Barnes and Noble initially sold Gundam models in 2013 at a small number of select stores to test its viability and will now expand this offering across the U.S. In addition, a number of stores will feature displays showcasing built samples of the Gundam models being sold.

Supplied by Bluefin Distribution, the official U.S. Distributor of Bandai Hobby products, these Gundam models are guaranteed and authentically licensed by Bandai and have been thoroughly tested for safety and meets U.S. consumer product safety regulations. No packaging changes or alterations to the product have been made and consumers can be assured they are getting a product that is the same as the products sold in Japanese stores.
