Most engineers at Google run Goobuntu, a distribution of linux that is based off of the latest LTS release of Ubuntu. Google adds specific internal packages to Goobuntu, but for the most part it looks the same as Ubuntu.

While most desktop computers run Goobuntu, laptops are split between Macs running OS X and PCs (mostly ThinkPads) running Goobuntu
