I have a lot of complex feelings on this leak. I don't think it should've happened, this was a malicious attack to ransom money from Capcom, and there being personal sensitive information makes it all just gross. With that, the extent of this leak may be pretty massive and basically ruin most of Capcom's surprises for the next several years once it's all out there. Obviously I don't mind some leaks, but I feel that's too much and I can't imagine the effects of all this combined conjure up. With that, bringing attention to it inadvertedly feels like maybe supporting such things happening in the future, which is really bad.

On the other hand, it is news, and I can't claim I'm not interested in this. I wish it was just fun stuff, or Hell, even older interesting stuff with just some new things in the near future being leaked. There will probably be some exciting, interesting and fun stuff to come from this from those more people as most people aren't actively malicious, but the problem is some are.

I'm in a spot I both don't want to contribute to the parts of this I find unforgivable, but also I want to talk about the cooler stuff here and follow it. I know nothing I do or say can change what's going to happen from this, so I just kinda' wish it never happened at all. But since we're here and there's no stopping it, I'm only really interested in some of the more interesting, fun things, but I can't feel good about it yet can't help myself.

Anyways, I guess the first game's who source code was leaked is The Misadventures of Tron Bonne for the PS1. I don't mind old games source codes coming out like this, it's very clear Capcom was probably never going to do much with that game, and like the Nintendo leak earlier this year I'm more okay with as these games are long out of active production and it can lead to exciting preservation & modding things. But it's hard to take joy in it with the other shit attached to this.

GHOST 'N' GOBLINS RE (translated/decrypted from 魔界RE) is a Nintendo Switch Timed Exclusive (RE probably stands for RE Engine) releasing on february 25th. It has promotional support from Nintendo and is exclusive for three months. I'tll release on June 1st on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

ARCADE STADIUM (translated from アーケードスタジアム) is a Nintendo Switch Timed Exclusive with interlocking promotion with GHOST 'N' GOBLINS releasing on February 18th. It'll release on PS4/One/PC on May 25th. It is codename REIWA.

Oh dear, so out of this list I can say I know about RE Outrage, Regolith (it's Pragmata), Dragon's Dogma 2, Street Fighter 6, Resident Evil 4 Remake, and Biohazard Apocalypse. I know some details on those but I'm not sharing. Didn't know about the rest. Onimusha I knew they started a new RE Engine game a couple years back, but I had heard it got shelved, but maybe they brought it back it seems. I was told something a bit weird about it a year or so ago, so yeah.

This is going to be really damaging. New Bio is probably a placeholder because they're going to be greenlighting a new RE game soon (they basically greenlight a new game when another RE game is nearing completion, I bet it's a placeholder for when RE8 wraps up dev and another RE game is greenlit), and Hunk I've never heard of but I'd bet it's the game that got greenlit after RE3 was finished. It's actually not unusual for them to have started on the next RE game that's 3-4 years off when the last one released.

Of course all of this subject to change, be retooled, rescheduled, canned, just part of it and not unusual for them
