Best Options if you want LibreELEC:
(Please note that best doesn't necessarily mean perfect)
WeTek Hub or Play2 (see links below) w/dual-boot (so you can still have Android, with WeOS or a custom Android TV launcher, and with Netflix in HD)
One of these S905 or S905X-based boxes
- These cheap S905 or S905X boxes can also easily dual-boot between LE and Android, but just know it isn't real Android TV (here's a halfway decent ROM)
- I have a Beelink MiniMXIII S905, which is near impossible to find now. But, it's great w/gigabit LAN and 2GB/16GB
- I also have a Mini M8S II S905X, which is also quite good. But, only 100M LAN like all S905X boxes
S905 boxes w/2GB RAM and 8GB (or 16GB) storage still remain the best options. Unfortunately, S905 boxes are getting harder and harder to find, and cost more than they used to
LibreELEC can be installed into the internal NAND, which is faster than using a mSD card to boot up (but, try mSD first before you do this as you'll lose the Android OS, and getting back involves finding your box's Android OS image and flashing it back the way it was)
With LibreELEC, especially in internal NAND, Kodi performance is fantastic, close to Chromebox, at 1/2-1/3 the cost! You get perfect framerates and full HD audio bitstreaming (inclusive of Dolby ATMOS and DTS:X)!
