Steam 做为全球 PC 游戏最大的综合数字交互式平台，目前拥有上千万的用户群，玩家可以通过该平台购买游戏、软件；也可以在此平台上传自己的游戏成就数据、截图、视频等等，最新版的 Steam 还实现了即时社交聊天，更加方便了玩家之间的互动。目前也有许多知名游戏公司的作品把 Steam 做为首发平台，可见 Steam 带来的游戏体验是其它平台无法比拟的。既然有了这么牢固的用户口碑基础，那么推出一款独特的游戏硬件上市销售也并不奇怪了。在本届 CES 大展上，Valve 便展示了十多款和其它厂商共同推出的 Steam Machine 游戏主机。

该机是由 Valve 公司自行设计运行基于 Linux 的 Steam OS 的游戏机，主要就是一台预装有 Steam OS 的主机，并配有 Valve 自家推出 Steam 手柄的游戏 PC，不光是核心玩家，休闲玩家也能轻松上手。目前原型机的配置是 i5 处理器+ GTX780 独立显卡，也可以说是台性能不错的 mini PC 了，而在 CES2014 展会上，Valve 公布了数款与第三方合作的 Steam Machine 造型，其中包括 Alienware、Origin PC、Falcon Northwest、CyberPowerPC 等高端品牌，由此可见 Steam Machine 是一台可以由第三方厂商高度自定义配置的游戏主机，来面对不同需求的用户群体。

价格方面，Steam Machine 将依照各自规格不同，定价从 499 美元到 6000 美元都有，预期届时也将会有超过 250 款游戏在 SteamOS 上运作，Steam 也将给予开发者工具，让开发者可以在 Linux、Windows、Mac 平台上进行开发。

大家想多了,就是电脑上除了cpu 显卡贴纸又多了一个steam贴纸.仅此而已.
