Whydo you keep posting this go back and look at her Olympic trials time sheimproved it by about 5 seconds which isn't much for 800m. In 2010 she was 13.Obviously she is going to improve.

Again,it's a distance event-all it takes is a reduction of 2 or 3 seconds in each 50split. I swam the 500 in high school(albiet I sucked-I was definately more of abackstroke guy-I made it to state sectionals in that) and I dropped from 9:57to 8:33 to 7:57 to a 7:20, then 6:57 then finally 6:49....and that was stilllike 2 minutes off the winning time....

补充楼上，每提升2~3秒的成绩需要下50分的苦功。我读高中的时候也游泳，主攻500米自由泳（虽然我在州赛时主攻的是仰泳），我从9:57到8:33到7:57到7:20到6:57最后到6:49，但貌似离世界第一还差两分钟。。。。。

I'm an American through and through, butlets just be fair here. If we're quick to throw a wet blanket on a 15yr oldChinese girl who improved exponentially, then lets do the same to a 15yr oldfellow American who did the same. Reports have the Chinese passing every testthe IOC has given, and I'm sure that's the case with Katie as well. Lets justleave it at that and let them savor their moment.
