Fumito Ueda, head of Team Ico and the man responsible for the beloved PS2 games Ico and Shadow of the Colossus, as well as the heavily anticipated PS3 game The Last Guardian, said today on Twitter that he will not be attending this year's E3, which takes plce between June 7th and June 9th in Los Angeles.
This comes as a surprise, as it could very well mean that along with Fumito Ueda himself, The Last Guardian might also be a no-show at Sony's conference this year. The keyword here is "might", it would not be completely unlikely for Sony to show off the game without Ueda present, but it does seem a bit strange.
The Last Guardian was first officially shown at E3 2009, and eventually got a release date for 2011, which was recently pushed back to 2012.
