Technical Artist Manager
The technical art manager will be responsible for managing a team artists and engineers to recreate graphic art and re-build game with the same "look and feel" of the original art in English in other languages. Candidate must have a strong sense of meeting deadlines and progress milestones while working towards meeting multiple objectives on a number of cocurrent projects. Candidate must be able to communicate fluen t ly in English with English-speaking art and engineering teams on requirments and issues. Candidate must be a quick learner who is capable of understanding game play content to be translated between the artists and engineers. It's expected that progress with regards to deadlines and all deadlines for the responsible team are met.
Qualifications:
• Excellent written and spoken English skill
• Bachelor's degree in art, graphics or animation plus degree or experience in C++ computer programming language required.
• 5 to 8 years of experience in graphic design and composition
• 3 years of programming experience or education
• 3 years of experience in managing art/graphics designer and technical staff.
• strong computer skills
• experience in layout/composition, illustration, graphic design, color theory and typography.
• advanced experience with Photoshop and effects software, such as After Effects and Particle Illusions, required.
• knowledge or experience of video gaming development or production preferred.
• Programming experience in C++ required
• Experience with Torque, lua scripting language a plus
• Knowledge or experience with Lightwave 3D a plus
• Experience with AlienBrain and StarTeam, or other version control and defect tracking system required
• 3 to 5 years of experience in planning, design, and development of game software preferred.
• experience with developing or managing automated game art production tools a plus.
