Special Effect Artist (SFX Artist)
Location: Shanghai, China
Salary: Negotiable
Do you put the ‘Special’ in ‘Special Effects’?
Outsourcing is the biggest trend in the games industry having grown from US$1bn (2006) to an expected US$2.5bn by 2010, representing 40% of global games development spending. China is increasingly the hot destination for Software Outsourcing, even over India, having grown about 33% in value in 2008. 60% of games development studios already outsource and that number is growing.
It’s a good time to join the industry. It’s a good time to be in China. It’s a good time to be a gamer.
As well as being a contender for the centre of the future Games universe - Shanghai is one of China’s most sophisticated & cosmopolitan Cities. It offers great lifestyle options, and a wide range of activities for singles or families. It’s safe, clean and fun. Although our client DON’T offer generous ex-pat packages, the chances are they can match your current salary, affording you a better standard of living.
This is perhaps the only Outsourcing studio to be involved in the production of entire (commercially acclaimed) games, not just bit parts!
