Having already bulked up once for 2005 's Jarhead, Jake Gyllenhaal has apparently hit the weights again for Disney's upcoming Prince of Perisa film.Celebrity-celebrating site JustJared.com has posted pictures ofGyllenhaal in Morocco on the set of the film, and the actor hasmatched--if not surpassed--the buff body reshaping he underwent totransform from his usual lean nerd form (as seen in Bubble Boy andZodiac) to his marine character in Jarhead.
According toJustJared, the actor is in the North African nation taking in thesights with girlfriend Reese Witherspoon (who apparently did not haveto radically reshape her body to get a role in an upcoming romanticcomedy with Vince Vaughn). Although the candid pics aren't from scenesin the film, they do show Gyllenhaal in his costume (or lack thereof)for the role of Prince Dastan for the first time.
The Prince of Persia will also star Gemma Arterton ( Quantum of Solace, Three andOut), Ben Kingsley (Sexy Beast , BloodRayne), and Alfred Molina(Raiders of the Lost Ark, Spider-Man 2). As Dastan, Gyllenhaal will attempt to prevent a nefarious nobleman from obtaining thecontinuum-controlling Sands of Time. Arterton's character, the princessTamina, will join him on his quest.
Filming began late last month, and will move to London by the project's end. The Prince of Persia is currently set for release Memorial Day weekend of 2010
