求仁得仁 twitch第一观看量 堡垒之夜秒杀绝地求生 大部分时间倍杀

Fortnite is dominating the gaming industry in almost every way right now, including one all-important metric, Twitch interest.

According to metrics from SullyGnome, which tracks Twitch viewership, Fortnite is now consistently the most viewed and streamed game on Twitch, besting even the likes of eternal staples League of Legends, CS:GO, Overwatch and its own rival, PUBG.

Fortnite is besting…pretty much all games at all times during prime streaming time, other than occasions where something like Overwatch league play or a DOTA 2 tournament may cause it to be eclipsed momentarily. It has created streaming superstars out of players like Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, who regularly draws tens of thousands of viewers to his channel and is reportedly making hundreds of thousands of dollars a month from his 100K Twitch subscribers and his sky-high viewership. As I write this, I’m watching 11,000 people stare at his blank “streaming soon” screen, which should be some indication of just how absurdly popular he is right now as a Fortnitestreamer.

PUBG’s numbers have actually remained somewhat consistent, it’s just that the rise of Fortnite has been so meteoric that PUBG cannot keep up. Fortnite first started to surpass PUBG in about mid-January of this year, and PUBG’s all-time highs came in August-September-October of 2017.

Streamers I know have told me that if you’re trying to get into streaming as a way to earn money, that Fortnite is actually not a great call right now because the channel is so flooded with people you’ll get lost in the current. But that hasn’t stopped Fortnite from being the most streamed game on the site, as assuredly many people are trying to jump on the bandwagon regardless, or just do it because it’s…a very fun game to stream, whether it’s to 80 people or 80,000.

Whether Fortnite can maintain this level of momentum is unclear. One recent development this week that has accounted for a surge in Twitch popularity is a Twitch Prime loot giveaway that gave players new skins and items for linking their Prime account to Epic and logging into Fortnite. Once the dust settles on that promotion, it may dip a bit, but at the rate Epic is adding new content into Fortnite, it seems like there’s always something new to see in the game every other week or so.

While Twitch viewership is not the be-all, end-all of a game’s success, in this case, it does correspond to Fortnite’s massive surge in popularity since its Battle Royale mode was introduced. The coming months will likely bring new competitors to the space, but with Fortnite this well established, it seems poised to take on all comers.
