The English version of Blue Dragon alone has taken the team 12 weeks for editing, testing, and localization efforts without even including the time it takes to translate the languages. That process, according to Yumiko Murphy, International Localization Program Manager, took two months just to get all of the user interface texts. From there, another three months were required for editing, polishing, and testing. "But this does not include the time it took to translate/edit the English audio script. It took about two months to polish the script after text translation." Once that is done, the text is proofed by the bilingual staff, checked by MS Japan, and then reviewed by Mistwalker itself.
