October 16, 2006 - Welcome back to our weekly feature analyzing the games youre most excited about. These are the titles you added to your wishlists the most over the past week, and they give us a pretty clear picture of what IGN readers are jonesin for. The List also gives us an idea of what you dont give a damn about; like, oh, we dont know, the PlayStation 3 -- not a single game from Sonys new console shows up on the list. From a software standpoint, the PS3 just isnt showing up on peoples radar. Of course, pre-orders were snatched up at lightning speed last week, so enthusiasm for the console remains high even if nobody cares about the games. But even cross-platform games like Call of Duty 3 and Assassins Creed generate more excitement on the 360 side of things.



The top ten overall list is a pile of Wii and Xbox 360 titles, with one PlayStation 2 game thrown in for good measure: Guitar Hero II. Looks like the news of Heros final track list reminded folks how awesome this game is gonna be. Interesting to see Halo 3 and Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz tie for ninth place, as the two titles really arent in the same league; if this list were Mike Tysons Punch-Out!!, Halo 3 would be Mike Tyson and Monkey Ball would be, oh, Don Flamenco.
