[新闻] Peter Molyneux:索尼PS MOVE和WII就是一路货

索尼先前表示,其新推出的PS Move不是简单的一款升级版Wii,但在微软看来两款体感手柄却是非常的接近。
微软欧洲游戏工作室创意总监Peter Molyneux近日在接受采访时就表示:“我很难说出PS Move和Wii的区别,它们在外观上看起来就很像。我知道索尼和任天堂肯定会反驳说Move和Wii是两款不同的产品,但他们确实非常相似。他们都能提供特定的游戏体验,在这一点上倒是和微软的Kinect一致。”
Molyneux接着说:“我并不是以微软人的身份发表上述观点,而是从一个游戏设计者的角度来评价。在这里我不得不向微软表示致敬,他们不只是简单的设计出了一款体感产品,他们在这基础上还进行了更好的升级。对于他们来说,设计出Wii这样的产品其实是件很容易的事情,但他们力求完美,在该基础上完成了更好的设计,Kinect的优势将会从新一波游戏面世中逐步体现出来。”
在谈起设计虚拟人工智慧男孩《Milo》时,Molyneux充满了骄傲,他认为《Milo》是他游戏专业设计生涯的一个亮点。
Molyneux说:“这可能是我游戏设计生涯中最有趣和最有吸引力的设计,对此我感到非常的兴奋,也非常的珍惜。”

Albert Penello, director of platform marketing for Xbox, has said Microsoft doesn’t want Kinect games to be “shovelware.”

Speaking in an interview with Gamasutra, Penello said he wants the consumer to be given an original experience, as opposed to something tacked on.

“This industry thrives on being able to take an engine or game and put it on as many platforms as possible,” he said.

“We don’t want shovelware, we don’t want ports, we don’t want stuff with motion controls tacked onto it.

“That’s not a slam to our competitors. We wanted original games that were really taking advantage of what our technology does.”

Penello added that although Kinect may have less games than Sony and Nintendo to begin with, he believes originality will make the 360 titles stand out.

“I know we’re going to have less games for [Kinect] than our competitors, but I think each one of those [games] is doing something interesting,” he said. “Our system works differently and has different advantages than the wand, quite frankly.

“To me it’s way more important to have a handful of really good game titles that take advantage of the tech than 40 titles of which half of them are controller games with waggle added onto them.”

Penello added for some games, such as Halo, controllers are where it’s at.

“We continue to say that the controller is the best experience for controller games. When people say, ‘Why don’t you have Halo?’ Well, I don’t want Halo on Kinect. I want Halo on a controller,” he said.

“Would it be interesting to see what kind of game they could make using Kinect? Yeah, I would love to see what those guys could do, or what the Call of Duty guys could do. But I don’t want to play Call of Duty 4; I want Call of Duty: Black Ops on the controller.”

Microsoft announced Kinect at its recent E3 conference for release in November this year.
